Borth Public Space Protection Order (PSPO)

This consultation will close on 16 December 2026

Borth Beach is an important part of our community. It is used by local people, visitors, families, dog owners, and many others throughout the year.

For many years, there has been a seasonal dog restriction on part of Borth beach between 1 May and 30 September. This restriction is managed through a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO). The current PSPO has an expiry date of October 2026.

Before any decisions are made about the future of dog restrictions at Borth Beach, we want to hear from the people who know and use the area best. We are particularly keen to hear from residents of Borth, as well as people who regularly visit the beach.

Your feedback will help us understand how the current arrangements affect different people, what works well, and what could be improved. We also want to make sure that any future approach takes into account the needs of all beach users.

Please take a few minutes to complete our questionnaire and share your views. Your feedback will help inform future discussions and decisions about Borth Beach.
