The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 Consultations

In line with the requirements of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 Ceredigion County Council is required to consult with residents in relation to proposals or changes under consideration by the Authority. This notice sets out how personal data will be processed when a consultation is underway.

The purposes for which we use your personal data

The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 set a duty on the Authority to consider residents’ responses to proposals.

The lawful basis for the processing of your information is to comply with our statutory obligations as laid out in the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, which provide that we must respond to residents directly using the details they have provided to us.

Where we are required to consult by law and special category data is processed, the lawful basis shall be GDPR Article 9 2 (g) processing is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest

The substantial public interest processing conditions shall be:
